Italian Sneaks, French Arrogance, and Fight Club

OK, it’s over.

Watching the match with very conversational people the whole Monday morning, the full-time score should have been Italy 2-1. The second goal by the Italians was clearly not off-side.

I’m on the Zidane camp. Verbal abuse is as despicable as diving for the opponent’s ankles, if not more. Zidane, you stay strong with your Golden Ball.

And now, let the world resume its usual programming and convene for another seaon of late nights, commerical marketing, and bets.

Kenny has found what is now considered the darkest point of social integrity of our local children. Similar to the recent two incidents of students attacking one, this video is going to reach even higher levels of shock and significance. View at your own risk!

Germany Wins Third Place in FIFA World Cup

Germany has recovered a little victory by getting third place in the FIFA World Cup 2006 on Saturday. The score ended at 3 – 1, leaving Portugal for fourth.

Bastian Schweinsteiger was the man of the match by becoming a last minute hero for the Germans, scoring two goals and one assisted by the opponents, Petit. His shots on goal were deadly and fast.

The disrespectable man of the game goes to Portugal’s Ronaldo, who consistently cried wolf to the referrees for many matches so far, including this last one in Stuggart.

Overall it was a satisfying match, much better to watch than the previous German games where football lost its sense somewhat.

Let’s hope it will be a blast at the finals between Italy and France.

FIFA World Cup Germany 2006 As Of 2 July and Real Movies

Not even worth RM5 at the mamak.

Germany was lucky against Argentina (both played like 22 planks of wood), and Brazil was probably tied down by pundits in favour of France. England was unfortunate, but they have better fun in EPL than World Cup.

FIFA really needs to look into using more technology for fair play, instead of something about racism (??). The referees need to access the same video feeds as what we have.

So, at the end, I believe the French will meet the Germans again. Hopefully, it will be a good show worth my sleep.

<– Subject Tangent –>

Recently there has been a good supply of “real” movies, especially after “Super Size Me” and “Bowling for Columbine”. These are really informative and objective movies worth watching to make us think. Ponder over what your government, large oil corporations and insurance companies are actually doing, and ask yourself whether they deserve and ought to be where they are.

If you’re not into movies, go learn about how the people are fighting against such evils and for their rights. Time to think about the world’s problems and how you can help to make life a little more comfortable for all of us.
